Your Demise, Letlive, Spycatcher and Eager Teeth

Las night was crazy. Your Demise, Letlive, Spycatcher and Eager Teeth at The Peel Kingston.

The venue is awsome, the bands were awsome and the crowd was awsome.

Unfortunately I did not manage to catch Eager Teeth I think we must have arrived just after they had finished. I will be trying to catch a listen of them though to see what I was missing out on.

Spycatcher were a pleasant suprise as always. To many people they would seem maybe abit out of place on this line up. But I would say that was certainly not the case. I have only managed to see Spycatcher twice (soon be be three times) so far and both times they have put a massive smile on my face. Don’t Like People is one of their many awsome tracks and my personal favourite (mainly because I dont actually like people, quite apt dont you think?) Although many would think their music doesnt fit the “hardcore” genre I would say this is rubbish. I go to these shows to let loose and along with the other 100 or so people to have a good time and enjoy the underground madness of hardcore shows. Spycatcher most definately help us do this. Isnt that what its all about?

Next were Letlive, before I even write anything you already know it was awsome. The set began by Jason using a drum held up by the audience as always packed with intense energy from the very beginning. It never stopped and with renditions of all the big songs the room was buzzing. Whenever I go to see them Im always looking around the room trying to figure out what Jason is going to do this time and yet everytime he suprises me. At the peel I couldnt see what he would climb on but still he suprised me and ended up hanging from a beam. This band are exploding before my eyes. Everything about them screams at the audience, their music, their energy, Jasons crazy stunts, the emotion. They put their heart and soul into every show and for this I am truly greatful!

After Letlive it was hard to believe that we still had Your Demise to go! I was very excited about this fact. I haven’t been able to see them for a long time and they are definately abit of a guilty pleasure of mine. They were amazing as expected did not let me down. There is no barrier at the peel (the best way) so clearly stage diving was a definate. At one point there were so many people on the stage that there was no one to catch them, people dont really think through their actions and it did result in a few stage dive fails. The music of Your Demise really strikes a massive cord with me, it hits me deep. Their songs reflect alot of things in my past and I can relate in my own way with the words. I go to these shows to let it all out basically and I feel so much better for it!

Hopefully I will get to see all these guys again soon. I dont want to have to wait a long time…
